Discuss Amongst Yourselves

No time today for a real entry, but some things have caught my notice recently, and I just had to share them with you.

Did you know that Jackee Harry will be starring in a production of A Christmas Carol at the Beacon Theater? Did you also know that her costars are Angela Bofill, Jeff Conaway, and Barry Williams? This will either be excruciatingly bad or absolutely brilliant.

Speaking of excruciatingly bad, how did National Treasure beat out Alexander? Its because Alex is gay, isnt it?

Doesnt this look awesome? Well, no, not exactly. But Ive had two girlish dreams about Noah Wyle. (In the first dream he asked me to marry him; in the second dream we were still married.) So, Ill be watching this nerd-quest for sure. All you librarians out there owe it to yourselves. I hope there are scientists and pirates in it.

I finally saw The Day After Tomorrow and yes, it bit as much as everyone said it would. And yet, I still found something to enjoy. There was science. And a library! The snow was pretty, and it was really cool to see stuff freeze up fast. My cousin had a problem with the wolves, but I say they mustve been those terrorist wolves I saw in a TV commercial, because normal wolves would not bother coming all the way to midtown from the Bronx to snack on smart kids in some Russian ship when theres plenty of good eating in the ZOO WHERE THE WOLVES LIVE ALREADY. Those wolves clearly had some agenda to attack our freedoms.

I also, to Ashyknees delight, saw Master and Commander. Sea battles and natural history! The title still makes me think its a porno. Much to my surprise, I enjoyed it, even though I do not usually like the actor who played the captain. Perhaps it was Paul Bettanys presence. I liked A Beautiful Mind, too.

Cant wait to see Closer, which should be subtitled, Really Pretty White People With Problems. That Clive Owen, hes my husband.

Alas, I missed this on PBS last Sunday. Anyone out there have a copy?
