I�ll be in Alabama for 2 days. I hope not to exhaust my options by then.

Alabama, you say? Yes, I�m going to the Deep South for a conference tomorrow. Everyone I�ve told has reacted the same way�with pity. I cannot say that I�m not apprehensive. Not so much about the whole Deep South thing, but because I will be driving a lot while I�m there. I even rented a car. Who�d have thought that Quiconque would rent a car and be driving on the highways of the Deep South? Sixty miles on the highway!

It�s going to be an adventure. Let�s hope a good one.

Now, to write the paper I�m supposed to present�
